Pork Chop and Pasta Dinner

Time: 1 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups macaroni
  • 6 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons oil or 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

  • 1 Cook macaroni according to the package directions.
  • 2 Place in 12x7 1/2x2 inch baking dish.
  • 3 Brown chops in oil or shortening on both sides. Drain off fat.
  • 4 Season with salt and pepper and arrange on top of noodles.
  • 5 Combine remaining ingredients except cheese and pour over the chops.
  • 6 Sprinkle with cheese.
  • 7 Bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 minute.
  • 8 Serve with additional cheese if desired.
