Dane Dumplings

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- salt
- 6 eggs
Directions
- 1 In heavy saucepan, heat butter and water over med-low heat until butter melts.
- 2 Remove from heat and stir in flour.
- 3 Return to med-low heat and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- 4 Remove from heat and cool.
- 5 Add the eggs, 3 at a time, beating well after each addition.
- 6 Stir in a dash of salt.
- 7 Drop dumplings into boiling soup.
- 8 Cook for 10 to 15 minutes with lid off.
