Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 1 teaspoon Karo syrup
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

• 1 Bring the butter, sugar, buttermilk and Karo syrup to a boil in large pan. Remove from heat and stir.
• 2 Then add the baking soda and vanilla. Mixture will fizz to twice the size. Let set, stirring occasionally.
• 3 Serve while hot.
