Orange Icing

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 1/2 cups icing sugar, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice (or more)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions

  • 1 Cream the butter.
  • 2 Add grated orange zest and salt.
  • 3 Add icing sugar alternately with orange juice and lemon juice. You can put the sifter right over the bowl while adding the icing sugar.
  • 4 Beat well after each addition.
  • 5 Add a little more orange juice if required.
  • 6 Beat until creamy and easy to spread.
